Every student is assigned to a Mentor for their time at the College. Regular meetings with their Mentor help students to explore any issues related to their learning so that they are able to fulfil their academic potential.
Teachers also provide regular feedback to the Mentors on the effort and attainment of their students.
Our Mentor system ensures that student progress is continuously monitored across all of their subjects. Mentors are also available for any matters of pastoral care that may arise during the year.
‘St Albans College rightly prides itself on the amount and success of the personal support it offers students. They each have a personal tutor who monitors their academic progress, welfare and personal development, and meets regularly with them to discuss any issues arising. Many students said that this was of real importance to them, for example, that they received amazing individual support and that it was hugely beneficial’
