Full Time Receptionist required £20,000-£22,000 pa

We are an Independent College based in Hertfordshire and require an experienced full time receptionist and administrator who has excellent people skills and a calm professional manner to join our friendly team.
The role will include the following and more:
To cover Reception, ensuring that enquiries whether in person, by telephone or email are dealt with, including passing the enquiry on to the appropriate member of staff or department.
To ensure visitors to the school are welcomed in a professional, polite and friendly manner and adhere to the school’s security policy (e.g. visitors badges, signing in/out etc).
To provide administrative support to the senior leadership team, including managing diaries and appointments.
To undertake general office duties including filing, photocopying and collating documents, opening and date-stamping post, ensuring timely distribution of internal and external mail.
This is a full time position and the working hours will be 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Previous experience of working in a school environment is preferred.
A successful candidate must be friendly, enthusiastic, honest and reliable, well organized, be well presented and able to work in a busy office environment. Someone who can remain calm and measured and be self-motivated.
You must also have a clear speaking voice, a good telephone manner, work well within a team and have excellent written and spoken English.
You should have good typing skills and previous experience of using Microsoft Office software.
The salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
