In order for students to broaden their experiences, staff at the college organise a variety of relevant educational trips and visits throughout the academic year. Such events are useful to give insight into the application of different subjects in real life situations, and often help inform students’ degree and career choices.
Recently, these have included theatre trips for our English students and a visit to the Houses of Parliament for the group studying Government and Politics.
In addition, the College organise social events and trips. The latest Go-Karting afternoon was very popular, with the students (and staff) competing together in teams, giving them the opportunity of mixing with those studying different subjects. It was also good to see the GCSE students team building alongside the AS and A-Level students.
This is an important area of the College Curriculum that we will continue to develop.
